Spookaroo is a free community map of Australian houses doing Halloween. If something isn't working, or you need a listing changed or removed, email hello@spookaroo.app. Through October it is read every day and answered within 24 hours.

Finding houses

Allow location and Spookaroo shows the houses closest to you. You can also type a suburb instead. Spookaroo covers Australia only, so from overseas the map will be empty.

Until a few days before Halloween a house shows as an area rather than an exact pin, and its street name is hidden. That is deliberate: it protects households while the map is filling up. Exact locations appear from 28 October, in each state's own time zone.

Listing your house

Tap Your House, sign in with your email (we send a six-digit code, no password), add your address and a few photos. Every listing and photo is checked by a person before it appears. On the night, flip Lights on when you are ready for visitors.

Photos

Photos showing identifiable children, number plates or house numbers are rejected. If a photo of your family or your house is on Spookaroo and you want it gone, use Report a problem on the listing or email us. It comes down the same day.

Deleting your account

Withdraw your listing from Your House and it disappears immediately. To delete your account and everything attached to it, email hello@spookaroo.app from the address you sign in with.

Spookaroo is made in Perth by Stray Anchor Pty Ltd. It carries no advertising and does not sell anyone's information. See the privacy page.
